Taking Access Issues Seriously

Committed to A Future of Cycling on the North Shore and the World

Without trails and people dedicated to trail maintenance where will you ride in the future? What about commuter routes or safer places to ride? People who ride regularly generally take for granted the settings they place themselves in. Are you one of these people? Do you want to help and dedicate yourself to the future of the sports you love?

There is a five step program that you to can follow.

First put down the beer bottle, the x-box controller, or the TV remote and get of your duff. Then follow the real outline as mandated by your local trail society or community cycling group. Dig down for that passion and help make a great future for cycling.

For out of towners you can generally find your local trail society or community advocates through outfits such as IMBA (International Mountain bike Association) or Bikes Belong.

Below follows a list of links regarding your local and regional advocates. If you know someone or somebody who isn't represented on this list please just forward us a link and we will update the lists as we go.

'North Shore' residents you are blessed with the North Shore Mountain Bike Association; The very impoverished financially but very rich inspirationally mountain bike association of the famed 'North Shore' of Vancouver. Here are some guidelines for you to practice while your mountain biking on the North Shore.

The Eight Commandments

3. Respect the environment.
4. Always stay on the trail.
5. Ride don't slide.
6. Pack it out.
7. Know your limits.
8. Support Trail Maintenance
