John Henry Bikes Presents the NSMBA Team Pangor Trail Day
This trail day was sponsored by John Henry Bikes, and all participants got a packed lunch to carry onto the trail. At this time of year, and with the weather as dry as it is, forest fires are no idle worry. Big thanks go to Powerbar who provided energy bars as part of the packed lunches.
The upper section of the trail was the focus for most of the work, with some pieces of wood work needing complete rebuilds. Notably the split line where in the past you could choose either an easy down ramp on the left of a large tree, and the alternate line which has always been a huck to flat on the right of the tree. The huck on the right now has a smoother run in, a new up ramp and a beautiful new milled piece of cedar to drop off. The landing has been converted into a buttery smooth transition from a previously choppy one. Right at the very top is where you will encounter the trail work first, with a beautiful rebuilding job on an old beaten up berm. Now we have a sweet berm, which should last some time, that spits you into a newly rebuilt cedar ramp/drop.
Go and check it out, the weather is just great for riding. If you're not a member of the NSMBA - you should be, it costs nothing and helps to keep our trails open. Follow this link and then go riding.... www.nsmba.bc.ca
