The John Henry Bicycle Maintenance Work Shop gives you the confidence to maintain and trouble-shoot the mechanical state of your bicycle. The focus is on the tricks and tips used by the best mechanics and to show you how to transform trail-side (or road-side) disasters into trail-side miracles.
- During the Work Shop you will delve into:
- Wheel truing, hub adjustments and overhauls, flat repairs
- Gear set-up, shifter cable replacement, and derailleur repair>
- V-brake and disc brake set-up, brake bleeding, plus cable and pad replacement
- Headset and bottom-bracket adjustment and maintenance (these are the bearing groups of your bicycle
- Drive-train cleaning and lubrication, chain removal and installation, drive-train intricacies
- A focus on preventative maintenance so that you can save future expenditures
- How to love your beautiful bike
Work Shop Cost: $49.99 per person
Duration: Two nights of three hours per night
Requirements: Your bike, clothes in which to get dirty, and a thirst for knowledge
