'Ladies Only Club' - a ride for women only. Prepared rides lead you all over the province and take you to new levels of riding. Experience isn't necessary but smiles are. This section of the club accepts all levels of riders and will be also encompassing training nights, fixing clinics, and maybe even events like fashion shows.

Just a quick note to THANK YOU for today- you really made my reintroduction to riding really positive and inspirational. Your style of teaching is very easy to follow, and it was simply great. Thanks again, and I look forward to having you as a ride leader!

Your answers to the questions you now have?

What time do the rides leave at?
Rides are scheduled monthly and you are made aware of all rides via email. The store posts copies of the schedule, the staff know where rides are, and you will be sent emails regularly. Generally rides that are week nights start at 6:00pm sharp.
All other rides will be posted for you to check on the calendar of events, the chat room, your email inbox, and the Riding Club schedules pages. You can also call the store at any time and ask for help. The phone number is 604-98-5534.

What does the insurance cover?
$17.50 covers insurance for you and John Henry the Bicycle Man and the rest goes towards running the club. The club operates as a non-profit division of John Henry the Bicycle Man. The insurance covers $2,000,000.00 in disability and death. Scary stuff. By the way, your not suppossed to get hurt or die. This is not in the plan.

Where can I join?
You can download the sign up sheets and/or sign up at the coffee shop. You will always have to sign a waiver form at the coffee shop and at the same time you can pick up your insured sticker.

Should I have my bicycle checked over before I go on a club ride?
It is always a great idea to make sure that your bike is in proper working order. Ride leaders will have some tools with them but it's nice to never have a mechanical. Experienced mechanics from the illustrious Tech Centre will be happy to take a look at your bike for you and don't forget to join us for the Free Drop-In Mechanic Clinics on Wednesday nights. These clinics will help you check your bike over before rides. However if you sign up for the Gold membership your mechanical worries should be addressed. To find out why click here.
